Palms

This palm design was taken from Deborah Brommer's book, Aloha:  Henna Patterns Inspired by Hawaii.  I added a few additional details along the  wrist and forearm.

Trying Something New

I often like to try out new patterns on myself.  Here is a design that I created.  I am currently working on a book of henna designs of bracelets and anklets inspired by nature.

Smaller Designs

This design was also taken from Deborah Brommer's book, Aloha.

Australia

This beautiful young woman has a passion for Australia, and wanted design in henna that would reflect her interests.  It includes Australia's floral emblem, the golden wattle.  The paste was left on for 5 hours.

This first photo was taken after removal of the paste.

This photo was taken 72 hours later, after the stain had matured.

Suzanne's Feet

My sister, Suzanne, wanted her first henna to be a traditional Moroccan design inspired by Kenzi.  This was also my first go at such a recognizably geometric pattern.

Tattoos

Here is a fun little frog tattoo.  In this photo, the paste was left on overnight.  The photo was taken shortly after the paste was removed.  The photos were taken shortly after the paste was removed.

Another tattoo, but this time a lizard.

In my work, I do a lot of designs for individuals who are considering getting at tattoo.

Here are two designs I did for local women who were debating whether or not to get inked.

Both decided, after having their henna, to go ahead with a permanent one!
